Default Swapped rear axles with friend, now both have problems

My friend and I wanted to swap gears. He wanted my 4.10s and I wanted the 3.42s. Both were 3 channel. His Z28 is a 2001 and my SS is a 2002.

My problem is that I can bleed my brakes, no air, and still pedal goes almost to floor before it builds pressure. I recently replaced the master cylinder cap gasket and I can't tell if the problem has gotten better.

My friend said his ABS light has to come on for his brakes to work fine. When the light isn't on, the ABS is constantly actuating.

Sounds like you got air in your abs module. You'll need to bleed that first. Jack up the rear, and trigger some abs events. Then go ahead and bleed like normal.

Tech 2 GM scan tool is the proper way to bleed the ABS system. It will command the ABS pump on and force out any air that may be in the ABS module

When swapping rears did the MC or the ABS block loose all its brake fluid and get air bound. If so the only solution are the following.

Blench bleed the MC along with a tech II bleed or buy a motive power bleeder and put your on jack stands to actuate the ABS while you are bleeding. Bleed order is RR > LR >RF >LF.

I only disconnected the brake line fitting that is on the body. The MC was almost to the max line when I went to bleed brakes.

Is it possible its bleeds where you disconnected it? Have a buddy hold the brakes down and check it for drips or fluid on the seam you disconnected.

I did check that the other day, but I didn't have my wife press the brakes so I could check for leaks. I will add that to my list today.
