Default Spohn Torque Arm Mount Question

I'm running a semi-custom torque arm set up in my 67 Firebird and planned on using a Spohn custom length torque arm. I noticed their normal mount looks to be like a swivel joint type that mounts to the cross members instead of to the transmission with a secondary bushing welded to the cross member, my question is would there be an issue if I made just a regular bracket to "hard mount" the poly bushing end to the mount instead of the double "swing" joint? Too much stress? Planned on using the spohn arm with a Hooker T56 mount (for 67-69 F body) since it looked nicely built and able to handle some torque. Any help would be appreciated.

We make a direct bolt in kits for doing this. Here is what our system looks like so maybe you can get some ideas on how to make yours work:

I would go with bmr. Just don't work out shoulders or tris before you install...

i appreciate the links and info but I'm aware of what you guys at BMR offer, Speedtech offered me just the tq arm set up, similar to BMR's for $900... but i believe i can do better fabricating my own in a stock type fashion. Too much real estate used up in the BMR design. I'm looking to run coil overs, Panhard, sway bars, dual exhaust etc. $2400 for the kit is just too much to put into a project thats already nearing 23 grand. Sorry just been a long road... i did scope out all the vendors designs to get ideas though.

I don't think you understand my question, the front link on the BMR tq arm is a small shackle type mount, I'm wondering what negative effects I'll have if i bracket mount it (hard mount) besides additional cab noise. Stress issues? Car will be running an LS3 416 MN12 (650hp or more)

I was posting ours to illustrate our design to give you ideas. We have a bushing shackle at the front that has a solid stub of of it that floats in a greaseable delrin lined sleeve. This gives articulation in both directions, as well as fore and aft movement so as to no cause bind through the range of motion

No I got it, sorry if I came off testy. So do you think it would be wise to stick to the shackle mount? I only ask because some minor modification is required for a shackle mount to be put in the Hooker T56 X member for the correct height of the tq arm which I don't mind, but if hard mounting it doesn't "hurt" anything i'll try that out. Thanks

You can see it a little better here. It's not technically hard mounted, it has a slip joint in the end of the torque arm that the bushing that allows articulation without binding the bushing. You end up with 2 different points of articulation to allow for all suspension movement
