Default Broken LCA

I just installed BMR springs, Koni Str.t's (front), Koni yellow SA's (rear) and a few new bolts/bushings. I was getting the car aligned and the guy points something out to me. Well, I felt pretty dumb, but I couldn't have seen it with out being directly under the car. Check it out.

I'm assuming this is why my car wants to force a left turn under hard braking, and causes a swaying feel after hitting bumps at higher speeds. That's the passenger side. No idea how it happened, the car is basically stock with the stock converter.

Lucky that worse didn't happen to you. Looks like you have an excuse to upgrade the control arms.

+1 on the cutting off the end links.

Put the rear on jack stands, not on the actual rear diff but the chassis. Then use a jack to lift the diff so that the load is similar to how it is when sitting on the ground. That will take all or most of the weight of the end links and make it much easier to get the bolts off. With the rear hanging, the sway bar is being dragged down and putting more pressure on those bolts.

**Edit**
Just realized you may be talking about the FRONT sway? Take off the wheel and use a jack to lift the lower a arm. Same reason as with the rear. You want to reduce the load on the end links. Braker bar and some muscle otta do it.

That lca has to have been that way for a while. I've been feeling the swaying feel and assuming the passenger side shock or spring had gone bad cause bad weight transfer. But as it turns out, broken lca lol. Upgrade time indeed.

I don't have a sawzall, and had such a stupidly hard time getting my cold welded/completely rusted together end links off of the car that I am going to buy ALL 304 stainless hardware for them AND paint them with rustproof paint, AND coat them in anti-sieze, or a thick, tacky waterproof grease.

Then MAYBE, just MAYBE these northeast 'salt soup' winters will not cause them to become ONE solid piece!!

Get a set of Founders LCAs with the 3 Piece Poly Joints.
http://www.foundersperformance.com/1...ce-poly-joint/

As far as replacing the sway-bar end-links just back the car up on a set of ramps, or pull the front up on a set of ramps, and use a ratchet wrench on the nut end, an regular wrench on the bolt end, an you're good to go! There's no need to remove any of the wheels to replace the end-links unless you're cutting off rusted out end-links.

x2 on the Founders LCAs. Great price on a really good set of arms.

The way I avoid rusted on sway links is I don't drive the car in salt soup. That's what a daily driver is for!
