car eats through tires

Yes I know there is a tire section but I feel like this is more of a suspension problem. But anyways I've always used street tires so generally they last longer and I can honestly say that I don't do burnouts I'm to cheap to keep buying tires but my car keeps going through rear tires like crazy my first set was nt555 lasted me 5k I had two pairs of pirelli's one lasted 3k my current set 1k is it alignment or what my car is 25yo and no bushings have ever been replaced but the shocks have been also the tires wear pretty even

I've got a set of NT555 with over 6000 miles on them including a LOT of spinning and they still have about 3/4 tread.

Honestly I don't drive it that hard due to this new job I have if I get a ticket I can get in trouble at work:/

Same! I just got a new job as a floral delivery driver... Luckily most the deliveries I'll be making are in the backroads nowhere, a few counties away

my car is gonna have some miles on it here soon... But back to the subject, What tread wear tires have you been running? Rule of thumb, harder tread wear (higher number) will last longer and lower tread wear (lower number) will last noticeably shorter, but in return are more grippy and sticky. I have Falken Ziex tires, tread wear 550 square setup and they were on the car 3k miles before I got it and I've put probably 4k on it so 3+4=7k and they're holding up still pretty nicely. Now the back tires are wore down a significant amount more from burnouts and basic logic, RWD posi traction car will go eat tires a little quicker.
