Default Rattle/clunking noise and verify ride height?

Guys continuing this odyessy lining out my 98 Camaro...bought as a roller and so much stuff I didn't know was missing ect...anyway I'm driving it but it's making a rattle/clunk under it ( on every light 2-3 shift as well) when going over bumps ect..and feels like it's binding when I Make a hard left turn ( more so than right)...it sounds like exhaust but ice had it up to the shop on a drive in lift with the cars weight on it trying to recreate it to no luck.....car has a bmr torque relocation mount and all that is secure...the factory shocks seem blown so I replaced them and put new bump stops with the extenders for 17 inch wheels....
Got 3 inch exhaust the suspension vendors all want to know how much its lowered, well I have no idea...best friend is a little more versed in 4th gen and says no way it's stock ride height especially up front....anyone know where I can measure?

Noise is driving me nuts and one of the last nagging issues of this journey
Want to love the car , I'm in poor health building it was quite taxing!!!

Top of the fender lip at the center of your wheel, to the ground. I believe stock is like 27 to 27 and a half 28 or so. But it varies on f-bodies a lot.

As far as the noise goes, you seem to have replaced the goods. Check and double check every bolt for the rear suspension. Any loose bolt will make a loud clunk noise it seems like. Check LCA's, panhard rod, sway bar bushings and endlinks, torque arm, recheck your shock bolts, torque arm crossmember, torque arm, basically everything you have back there I would check and retorque to spec.

Don't forget to tighten them with your suspension loaded tho. Hope that helps out the clunk problem, good luck

Well, I don't think me measuring mine will help you much. Mine isn't stock. I'm lowered on Strano springs .But I know right off about what mine sits at because I'm o.c.d. Lol. About 26" drivers side front, 25 3/4" pass side front. 27" drivers side rear and 26 3/4" pass side rear. Mine is really uneven. I no longer care. I've checked and re-checked everything, it's all on correctly. The rear drivers side always sits higher in 8 of 10 f-bodies . It's the way they are set up from the factory. But mind you mine is on Strano springs and Koni sport shocks. As far as the clunking ,I would check rear lca bushings.

I had a similar clunk/rattle that I couldn't track down. It went away completely when I swapped from stock to BMR springs but it still wasn't obvious what caused it - strut mounts were both new and the rear spring isolators were still in good shape.

Thumbs up

Check the transmission, there is a bushing for the mount, if that bolt loosens up it can result in a clunk sound that will be quite random.... also check torque arm, loose LCA sounds more of a sharp knock then a deeper clunk sound. good luck!
