Default poly boxed LCAs, poly panhard, now hear clunking

Just installed new to me but in good damn condition LCAs and a panhard rod. Both polyurethane. Now when hitting small, medium, large, all kinds of bumps I hear a clunking.

Is this because now these areas are solid and another problem is presenting itself elsewhere?

Get under there with a torque wrench and make sure everything is as tight as its supposed to be, even if it feels like its tight, if its not to spec they may clunk.
Edit: Did you tighten everything down with all the wheels on the ground?

The suspension needs to be loaded when you tighten those items down.
Do that and report back.

It definitely sounded like something was loose from your initial post. Go back and torque everything down and if you are worried about it coming loose you can throw some Loctite on the bolts. Suspension components with poly bushings should be almost as quite as the factory parts if they are installed correctly.

yes loose it is. i missed tightening down a LCA all the way. I cant believe the way this car handles with the new panhard bar.

stock bar had 270k miles. i remember why i enjoyed my other lower mileage z28 so much now

You should see how a halfway decent autocross setup feels...

Panhard bar was my second mod I did, and I was like "hmm. That right hander felt different, and pretty good." This was right after I installed it lol

yes! i felt a difference as soon as i installed it. there is almost no information threads about the benefits of a panhard bar either!

leaving my shop there is a 90 degree turn and i took it at 50 MPH like it was NOTHING! and it used to break loose (ive probably taken this turn 1000 times, and that is a realistic number)

and my first thought was.. jesus i could not imagine what an auto cross set up would do, it wouldn't make sense to be able to take turns faster!

With that many miles on the factory parts I am sure they left a lot to be desired. I am glad you got it figured out and are happy with the improvement of the car.
