Default Benefits of front control arm bushings to polyurethane?

Happy new year guys, my question today is what are the benefits, if any, to changing the front control arm bushings to poly? My bushings are okay, just the stock rubber ones on my 1997 z28, but I was looking at this kit from energy suspension: http://www.energysuspensionparts.com/3.3164 Is it worth going through the trouble of replacing them and spending the $70? What are the effects of anyone has tried this? Thanks!!

I can't answer your question on what the benefits are on using them, but this is the result of using poly bushings in the rear vertical bushing.

If you're using the stock arm, use a Moog bushing in this location.
This is a pic of the stock replacement vs the newer "problem solver" version Moog offers. You can go to their website and see what the new looks like internally. Its a *****/socket type design.
Stock on the right.

Thanks for the response. I'll look into it. Anyone else have positive handling response to poly bushings up front?

i think someone posted a while back a cracked front control arm or mount bracket and other related damage because of using a poly type bushing which isolated movement of the arm to a linear direction.

That's mainly concerned for the rear bushing that stands vertical, kind of a goofy design to begin with. Poly in any other location should be fine, although the rear control arms are a little iffy to run poly on both ends of the control arm as well. Rubber bushings do their job, and they do it pretty darn well too at least for most applications
