Question stock position on bolt-in LCA relocation brackets

Hi,

With the bolt-in relocation brackets from UMI, BMR, Founders, or Spohn, can i still use the stock position (OE) if i want to? I noticed that all of them have some sort of bolt and spacer for the stock mounting hole to attach the bracket (along with the shock bolt) and was just wondering if i can still put my LCA in the stock position with the bracket installed if i choose to? Thanks

The spacer is to prevent 'collapse' at the OEM mounting point/hole. Yes,you would still be able to use the stock position.

With our BMR bolt-in relocation brackets you can still use the factory LCA mounting position you will just have to remove the sleeve that we provide to go in that position when using the lower two positions.

I guess I don't understand why you would want to put in relocation brackets to then just leave the LCAs in the stock position

There is certain combinations where the factory position is the optimal position. Generally it is on high power combinations or combinations that hit the tire very hard.

Well that makes sense, but in a case like that why bother with LCA relocation brackets in the first place? Just leave them off and put the LCA in the factory location.

Or, if you have relocation brackets and put the LCA back to factory, just take the bracket off.

Most car like that like to have the adjustment whether it is needed or not just in case. Also, the majority of the aftermarket rear ends (9", 12 bolt, and Dana 60) come with multiple mounting locations for the LCAs for adjustment.

It is also MUCH better for handling scenarios, and launching the car off of corner apexes during road course use, IF that is a concern.

You definitely are correct, I was thinking in terms of drag racing and straight line performance. Any time it comes to handling scenarios you want the lower control arms to be as level as possible which may be the factory mounting position or a position on a set of relocation brackets it just really comes down to what the rear ride height of the vehicle is.
