Default Koni Strut Assmbly?

Just like it says. I looked around and could not find any pics so my question is..... is the assembly correct in my picture or does the big washer go inside the boot? Koni one of the top builders in the shock industry and they cannot supply one page of instruction, kind a ignorant don't ya think? I've learned in life to not assume anything.

+1

Your picture is correct. Here's also a very detailed install specifically of those shocks.

^ That thread should really be a sticky, you're definitely not the first person to ask how the shocks go together, main reason being that Koni doesn't supply any instructions, as you already stated. And you also won't be the last to ask that question. You might also run into the plastic lower spring isolator being too large for the metal cup it sits in, that issue is also addressed in the link above

So who makes a seat to fit the Koni that does not need to be ground down?

I'm not sure if anyone does as far as I know. Last I heard, BMR contacted Koni about the issue, I don't know if anything has been resolved yet unfortunately

Default A Good Start

So here is a picture of some of the parts I reconditioned. sanded down, primed and then added 3 coats of paint. All new bushings and ball joints by MOOG and shocks by Koni.

What I need now is to know what perch I can use on these high dollar shocks that will fit without having to cut/grind anything down.

One Down.
