I bought a Stage 4 UMI Front Suspension, and I am currently having problems mounting it in the car. The stock hardware to mount the stock K-Member to the frame will not work with the UMI K-Member. The Kit did not come with new hardware for this. In the attached picture it shows why it won't work. The stock hardware for the k member mount is too long by the height of the mounting tube because the end of the tube is left open. The stock k member hole is narrower.

What is the deal here? It is saturday and not any old place sells 10.9 grade fasteners...

Im confused? I had no problems with my UMI k member and stock bolts many years ago....did you use the included space washers to put between the rear mounts of the kmember/frame??

Call UMI, They are a great company. Mine fit like a glove. Im saving up for some of their chromoly spherical arms and I have no doubts they will be spot on too.

There are only 2 big washers that come with it. There are 4 of the holes in question. If you look on their pictures for this product, it does not include any washers that would work here.

The good news is, home depot had 10.9 grade fasteners in a shorter version of the bolt that I needed.

Are the open end holes facing the ground with the kmember? Mine were capped off as part of the kmember. I also got the aluminum washers that came with it that go on the rear 2 mount tops

All 4 are open for me. They are open like in the picture attached to the 1st post. I have the 2 rear mount washers. They came zip tied to the K-member.

Mine are all capped off top and bottom

Hard to see but to the front mount bolts can be seen in this picture. They sit on the bottom of the capped off tube.

Maybe its for added weight savings, idk, Call UMI before installing it. They will have all the answers

Give us a call here at the shop. You should have received new M12-1.75x40mm bolts to mount the k-member.
