Default Anybody else ever break a factory spring

Removed my passenger side shock today and discovered the spring was broken!!! Have no idea how long it was broken however last time i remember looking at it everything looked fine. On a side note anyone know where i can find the upper control arm mounts? I know no one makes just the mount and seems like my best bet is to find used ones in a junk yard but im in hawaii and there are rarely f-body parts in junkyards around here.

Wow.
my condolences that sucks!
I've never heard of someone having their springs bust like that...I wonder if they were heated to lower the body stance prior to you.
good luck.

i doubt it...funny thing was i measured the height of both sides before removing the shocks and they sat at basically the same ride height and in the car you couldn't even tell the spring was broken

I've seen other springs break (that's how you know your struts on your toyota minivan need replaced, the springs just snap off regularly), but not an fbody spring.

Good excuse to upgrade shocks and springs then
