Default mystery vibration starting at 65 mph and up.

need help with a fading in and out vibration in the front end. it comes in for 5 seconds and then fades out and comes right back. have rebalanced and forcematched tires. it is also causing the headlighs to bounce around up and down as well. any input on this would be greatly appreciated!

I had that one time about 20 years ago. It was a front wheel drive. I tried all kinds of **** and it turned out the front tires were mismatched on size. One was slightly bigger than the other. In your case I'd verify the back tires

By forcematch, you mean match mount? With a tire balancer that checks road force variation?

Check your thrust angle by measuring from wheel to wheel on each side. My 98 had a funky vibration in the frt and it was the thrust angle causing it. There was over 1/2 inch difference side to side. I used the caster adjustment to get it under a 1/4 inch and the vibration was gone.

I'm going to move this to Suspension and Brakes as I expect we'll get a greater number of expert eyes on this problem there.

yes I did use a balancer and forcematched the front wheels and tires

Have you checked your hubs for wear? Any failed mounts? If you know someone with a picoscope they can help out tremendously if they know how to use it.
