Default rear brakes for ls1 camaro

what options do I have on smaller rear calipers for a 2000 ls1 camaro ? I bought some 15" wheels from a member here who had them on a lt1, and long story short, the calipers hit. I grinded them a good amount and still don't fit, don't want to keep grinding them. I read that I could swap to lt1 components but that it is a PITA, so I rather find something like aerospace, or strange components that could be somewhat of a bolt on deal ?

The strange kit is good. Not exactly bolt on. You will need to remove the axles so you can get the mounting plate off. Youll need some fittings and a flare tool too. You'll lose the emergency brake also. But I have been happy with the stopping power. If you get them do the dual caliper kit.

I'm pretty sure that's the one. I'd call them up to make sure. But it absolutely clears 15" rims.

a lot of expense just to fit some used wheels, isn't it?

Or it's a way to take 40+ pounds off the rear axle...

These are the two options for a F-Body.
Brake Option-1

Brake Option-2

If you have the stock backing plates you will have to remove everything so plan on purchasing new bearings as well. The description down below on the adds explains some of the options to choose based off your current housing ends.

If you still have questions feel free to hit us up and ask them.
