Default Watts link with rear end back brace on 9inch rear?

When using a ford 9inch rear end that has the welded on rear support/ truss is it possible to still use a watts link? I understand the watts link clamps onto the rear so I think the brace will be in the way...

Since it's most likely not possible, does anyone know of any other ways to reinforce a 9inch rear? Specifically a Moser one. Would like to be able to have a watts link and extra durability. Unless the rears are strong enough as is without any extra modifications..

thanks

Do a google image search of MWC fab 9" watts link. They use "stands" instead of the axle clamps. You do loose the ability to adjust the watts link axle clamps up or down but it works.

Our fabricated nine inch does have the option to add a watts link to it when using a backbrace. This eliminates the the clamps as we already figured in the geometry with our solid mounting points. Then all you need to adjust is the watts link up and down which ours has multiple hole locations.

As for having or not having a backbrace on your housing. For the cost it is ALWAYS worth adding a backbrace to any rear end as to go back and add one later can cause more issues than good.

Yes, I have had customers use ours with a 9" and back bracing. It does require welding instead of bolting the axle clamps, but the rest of the piece will have adequate clearance
