Default Advice on shock installation

Hey everyone getting ready to get the shocks replaced on my '00 Trans. Is it a good idea to replace or at least have on hand the following parts to be safe? Car has some rust. 97000 miles. I can always return the stuff if needed or would anyone advise just replacing this stuff as good maintenance since the mechanic will be in there anyway? Thanks in advance.

FYI going with Koni Str.t

I did this at about 85,000 miles when I did the STR.T's. I think it's a good idea

Moog parts went right in with no issues? Thoughts on the STR.T?

I had someone do the install since it was in the shop anyways, and he said it was a breeze. He did the instal in about 3 hours. For the money im very happy with the STR.T's. I did them along with BMR lowering springs and it made a very substantial difference. Made me realize just how worn out the stock stuff was at 85k and 16 years old

I'm doing the same thing collecting parts right now with those parts and with the additional moog bushings front and rear, moog ball joints, umi tubular upper a arms and Strano springs with str.t shocks.

I'm super stoked to see and feel how much better it's gonna ride over these worn out decarbons and stock springs.

I replaced those parts when I installed my Strano springs & Koni sports. I ordered both the Moog & AC Delco variants from RockAuto. I used the AC Delco parts, but I think both brands came off the same assembly line in India and were just packaged in different boxes. The Moog parts were a little cheaper, but I think the parts were identical across brands.

I should have probably replaced some bushings, but I didn't have the parts, so it will have to wait for another day.
