thats an old kit. slp springs always have a tendency to sag in the rear. shocks are......ok. but as always better budget options out there

for $550 you can get orange konis and lowering springs from stranoparts.com . im pretty sure they perform the same as "certain" slp shocks if not better and they are cheaper. can't go wrong with 550 for a tried and true combo with no issues

This all kind of depends on your purpose for the car. The bilstein is a great shock for daily driving and the occasional curvy road. I'm a big fan of the bilstein brand. As for springs, I would take a look at Sam Strano's springs. He sells a kit that includes the bilstein shocks and his springs for $615. Or you could go with the similiar Koni STR.T shocks. The best hands down are the Koni sports, if you can justify the price difference. I'm personally choosing between bilsteins and koni sports off his site right now. I'm only considering his springs, and I'm adding sway bars to the equation too.

I should add that this car is only driven a couple time a week for about 5 or 6 months a year. Winter here starts in November and the roads are salted until June.

thats what i meant when i said koni orange. the koni orange/strt are cheaper than the bilsteins and i believe many prefer them over the bilsteins

Yeah, I didn't mean to contratict your statement. I've heard the STR.T's perform better, but don't have the longevity of the Bilstein. But that's the only negative thing I've ever heard about the Koni Orange.

0that is true about the bilsteins. i think they have an "oem" style longevity. id still recommend the koni orange tho, simply because if they do wear out in 3 years, (im sure they will last longer than that) he may be ready to step up to something bigger better and more pricey.
