Default AFCO 3870F vs 3870FBNC front shocks?

I'm told these have different valving and work differently so I have some questions for the pros who have these.

1. Which shock do you prefer and why?
2. How does the 3870fbnc shock mount at the top of the strut tower with the adjustment **** in the way?

3. My camaro weighs in at 3004lbs and has all bmr underneath and a carbed nitrous solid roller 408 currently, TCI Glide pro/brake. 4.63 gears, 28' 10.5 M/T slicks
