Default Adjustable sway bars

I have a 99 Trans Am with a Fab 9” 373 gears making 573 at the tire. It is a manual T56 Trans. I’m having problems launching its all aftermarket stuff except sway bar. It jump up on the tires at launch. It goes straight though. I was told a adjustable sway bar is what I need to sit preload. But if car isn’t flexing and going straight is it what I need?

An anti rollbar is not a traction device it is intended to do what you mentioned and keep the vehicle level at launch. It will however make launching more consistent. What torque arm is on the vehicle?

Personally with a t56 I would suggest a long arm to soften the hit. With a short arm you are going to always fight it for traction and consistency.

Okay that is a Midwest Chassis long arm a tunnel mount is considered a short arm that attaches where the factory brace was. A long arm is a better choice indeed for a t56. Then it may come to shock itself not having enough control.

I have QA1 single adjustable. Should I consider coil overs in the rear or a double adjustable shock.

Coil over is nice option in setting ride height and getting a specific spring rate but not always 100% needed. However a good quality double adjustable front and rear shock is key in helping control how the suspension reacts.

As for the cage it is not going to help with traction issues either. It will indeed stiffen up the chassis.

A double adjustable shock that is not qa1 would be my first choice on all four corners.

Asking 555r tires with 573 rwhp and a manual transmission to hook consistently can be a challenge. Have you thought about a bias ply?

I’m an A4 guy, but most stick shift guys on here prefer a bias ply slick due to the shock of popping the clutch and they recover much better than a radial.
