Default MWC 2 piece race arm

Hey guys looking for any kind of input from anybody that's used Midwest chassis 2 piece race arm with a quick performance 9" rear end. Pictures would be great if you've got them. I'm torn between trying a Umi mount on my current arm or just buying the race arm. Thanks guys

I have same question but looks like nobody has done it. I believe you can't use stock mounts on housing but have to buy theirs and move towards drivers side a little.

Quit a few people have done it over the years we have just never done it in house ourselves. What my understanding is they take the inner bracket and make it the outer bracket or they just purchase new tabs from us and weld them into the proper location. Which purchasing new tabs would be the best choice as we use a 1/2 bolt and for some reason they use a 5/8 bolt that is a little over kill.

I am going to give it a whirl... Just have to decide now short or long. I will give MWC a call and see what they recommend tomorrow.

I will post some pics and how it goes for all the other poor souls out there searching for this answer without success... Hopefully it is a very short book with a very happy ending

Quick update... I got the torque arm and have started the install.. I will create a thread and title it when I am done in the next couple days.. but in case you want to get one ordered...
I tried it in the stock QP mounts and it is too close to Driveshaft and hits the Yukon case.
Moved it to the outside of the mount and still contacted the case so i cut both mounts and actually welded the MWC mounts to the outside weld of the original mount and looks like it will be about right
It is the top mounts i dread since I am doing this in the car without any extra hands...
My primary reason for doing this was to get rid of the popping and banging with the Spohn, but looks like I will lose some weight and build my own crossmember so will gain some exhaust clearance as well...

Couple pics so far

this is to the outside of stock mount so will likely move over just a bit

the spohn, notice the angle and and even after a BBFH beating it still would contact on occassion

here it is .. simple but danged expensive

Cool. Can't wait to see how it comes together. When welding your top mounts try putting a bolt thru each mount and eyelet then attach the bottom so it's kinda where it needs to be then give it a zap

Yep.. I ordered the MWC tabs, but they have a flat housing where it mounts. for the front I added on to one of the tabs to get them level.. but then I pondered on it and for the back I cut a piece of angle down, mounted tabs to angle and will weld the angle to the housing. This makes it easier to square it all up on the bench then just mount it up...

Hope to finish tonight but hurricane is due in here tomorrow so likely no test driving for a few days....

After seeing how that TA looks at the back, I'm just gonna modify my TA I've got and should work the same way
