Default Strut Tower Mounts Failing

Hi guys, not sure if this is the right spot for this post, but I wanted to ask if anyone has had issues with the OEM strut tower mounts failing. Specifically having the bearing pull out of the mount itself.

The mount is a single solid piece, with the bearing thing already seated inside the rubber mold. Looks like this: On right is a new one, and on the left is the failed one. As I said, the bearing piece got ripped straight out of the mount by the shock. This was the driver side and happened around mid May this year.

Looked like this under the car before repair:

In any case, I got it fixed and went on my way. Then, today (6/26) the passenger side did this:

I've got a few questions here. First, how the heck does this keep happening? Do I need more travel on the suspension or something crazy??

Car specs:
2000 Fbody Camaro
Twin Turbo LS1
Double adjustable coilover shocks and springs from Viking
rebound and compression set pretty mild, using something a little tighter than the Viking recommended street settings
Sphoon upper and lower CA

The car is mostly street driven. It does get driven hard, but it's all on regular streets.
I did do a road track day 6/19 so it got pushed a little harder than usual on that day. I could see this being the reason for the recent failure, but the other failure came way before any track time at all

Any thoughts, suggestions, sympathy would be appreciated. Hopefully someone has seen this before and has an answer. Ideally, there is an upgraded version of this part that I can get as the OEM ones just don't seem to cut it
THANKS

@David_viny this is great. I definitely don’t have those. Any idea what they are called? Are they oem parts?

Looks like we found it. I am in fact missing those strut mount bushings.

good post on it here, with @Racin'Z28 giving a good description of what it’s for and that’s basically what the failure I’m seeing is. Just gotta find a few now

Excellent. Found em, ordered em. Not sure what the difference is but the “kit” comes with two pieces of hardware so I went with that one. Hopefully it will make sense when they arrive on Thursday. Thanks all
