So these cobra isolators fit at the top replacing the stock isolator?

Do they make the rear higher or lower and by how much with stock springs?

Thanks. I'm interested in putting my stock rear springs back in instead of the bmr lowering springs I'm currently using.

these replace the stock isolators and lower the car 1/2 in. Quiet storm posted a before and after pic of his. I’m also removing my lowering springs and going back to stock with this isolators instead.

Thank you!

I thought that was the case. Just wanted to make sure.

Ok - you guys are going to have to walk me through this since I am new to these F-body cars.
The Prothane 6-1709 is the correct isolator - do I use these on all 4 springs or are these just for the rear...?
If so, what do I use up front - OEM isolators...?
My plan is to use the Orange Koni's on stock springs......and replace all the rubber contacts to get rid of that damn squeak.......

The part number listed is only for the rear upper. I reused all my stock ones when I originally put on my shocks and springs…but that was over 15 years ago.

The isolators are rear only.

New isolators come with the front shocks.

Here is a good thread on installing the koni orange front shocks.

One thing to remember is if you do put these isolators in the back but are stock ride height in the front then the front might sit a little higher then the rear.

It’s something I plan on doing while it’s parked for the winter. Hoping to pick up a set of stock springs and isolators in the meantime 😎

Default OK to just do SRT.t shocks and not new springs?

was reading thru this thread as I am considering new SRT.T shocks and keeping the stock springs...V6 car with 110K miles. (I was told the V6 cars got the V8 shocks and springs). I do not want the front any lower, I have a MAGG splitter on it and I already have to be careful of parking curbs. I also have WS6 spec front and rear sway bars and trans am wheels and tires 245 50 16.

Am I ok to just do shocks?

Negative Ghost Rider. No Koni, no Bilstein comes wtih any front mounts or insolators, or spring indexing ring for the perch unless bought as a kit to include those thigns. I have them on offer, or can even assemble some springs with those new parts. Bilstein in fact do not come with the spring perch, dust boot, or bumpstop either, All Koni's come wtih those however.

You can 100% just do shocks only if that is your wish. Once on, you'll find it drives better, and if you want to go more handling oriented, then you can upgrade swaybars to better stuff still. But would never tell you to do that before shocks *unless* your complaint about how the car drives/you want to improve it woudl be better dealt with by bars than shocks. But since the car has 110k on it, and I assume are original, or maybe some parts store level replacement, shocks would be where I'd start.

BTW, I have plenty of SRT.T's in stock.

I was referring to the lower isolator that fits in the spring perch. They certainly came with my strt's, perhaps things have changed?

They never have. Spring perch only, no plastic spring indexing ring or insulator or whatever some folks call them.

I guess I must have re-used my stock ones. I know I didn't buy them.

My apologies for any confusion I've caused.

I just used heater hose over the top rear coil with stock springs and still have a slight rake with factory springs.

Have not heard of anything yet, they don't exactly tell the world months ahead of time for obvious reasons. But there has already been a price changes with them, and like most things, not down. Also given the state of availability of almost everything, it might be a better idea to just get stuff when you are ready and in stock. Kind of like cars, they suddenly all sell for MSRP or higher just becasue people want them and there aren't many of them. It sucks, I know.

So, no word on any pending sale. Maybe there is on, I only tend to find out a few days before it happens, and have not heard anything about one to this point of 2022.
