Default Lower Front A Arm Bolts

This winter I replaced every bushing on my 02. When I reinstalled the lower front arms, the "tabs" broke off on both of the rear vertical bolts. What purpose do those tabs serve? Do I need to replace the bolts?

I feel foolish. The lower rear bolt needs to be dropped in front the top. The tab on the bolt goes into a hold to keep it from spinning when torquing it down.
