Do I need a torque arm for roll races?

Or will the stock one be fine?

I'd suggest racing at the drag strip. Then it's not an issue.

It will be more effective from a standard launch, once you are rolling, you will not put the stress on the torque arm that it would see on a regular launch.

Cool, than I won't bother.

I also assume that on street tires when I do go from a stop and basically roll into the throttle so I don't go up in smoke, I'll be OK as well?

A better torque arm would be beneficial, but the way your using your car it's not that important IMO.

It depends on where you punch it from. If your having traction issus id say go for it, plus I think youll see some gain from being able to adjust pinion angle.

From my experience, I would get one. I make 410 to the wheels. I was racing from a roll in 2nd, and broke the stocker and bent the drive shaft.
