Brake help, adding couplers/jointer to lines? is it bad???
Is it bad to keep useing the connectors for the brake lines. As in the connectors that if a metal brake line isn't long enough you can use a fitting and connect the two lines. I have one allready and might need to use another. And also use one on the other side on a diff. line.
Are these things bad?
I don't want to make anything not work as well. I don't want to resrict the line.
Read below for the reason, and my delima.
thanks
I installed a K-member, ruined two brake lines, so I decided to route them myself. This went fine, well, right were the aluminum line stops and the rubber hose to the brake line begins(for the caliper), I ran it upside down from stock, so the hard line comes from the top, not the bottom, making the rubber hose too short when you turn the car. My solution was to:
1. Get a longer rubber hose, but am not sure how well that will work.(seems easier though)
2. Get another coupler, cut the line and re-route it the correct way.
Thanks for any replys, my car is finally coming together and I kinda hit a brick.
