Need help w/ swaybar decision
I've searched and read some good info in here on swaybars, but I wanted to run my situation by you for advice:
Which bar do you suggest?
- Car is a daily driver
- I hate body roll
- I plan to spend a lot of time at the strip and don't want to hurt ET's
- My current setup is SLP Level 1 kit w/ reinforced arms which has a 32 front bar I think. I don't know if it's solid or hollow.
- I'd really only like to consider a front bar change at this point. I was thinking 35mm?
- I'm looking for better street handling and less body roll, but don't want it to interfere at the strip if possible.

Listen to Mitch, he gets around
Which springs do you have on the car now?
The idea is not to eliminate body roll, but to reduce it to a point where it's not causing loss of contact patch in corners. Putting that 35mm bar on the front will make the car push worse in corners without helping you at the strip. I would start with a 21-22mm rear bar if you still have the stock 19mm piece. The bigger rear bar will keep your drag launches straighter and partially neutralize the push tendency from the factory setup.
If after bumping up the rear it's still a bit loose in the rear, upgrade later to the 35mm front bar. Some folks just loosen one endlink when they go to the track to effectively disable the front bar.
