Default clicking noise from brakes i think

I've notice on my trans am that when i'm at cruising speed, i can hear like a repeated clicking noise sounding like it's coming from the wheel. When i press the brake pedal, the clicking stops completely, then when i let off the brake, it comes back. When i'm going slow it's a slow click, and fast, a faster click. I'm definitely a "newbie" when it comes to cars. Anyone have any idea what this clicking noise could be?

Thanks,
Josh

I had that problem with the Aerospace brake pads moving at slow speeds, brake released. I put some high temp. RTV between the pad and pistons. It went away.

I was getting that from my driver's side rear. It seems that the rust on the rotor's edge built up enough that it was "twanging" the metal clip that the slide in in the caliper. At least that is my theory, becuase the noise went away with new rotors (they were warped anyway). "Twang" that little mettal slip and see if its the same noise (it was on mine).
