break pads
My Williams S2 pads have much more power than stock, are quiet once bedded in and dust only a little. On the stock pads I could lock my wheels only up to 40mph on my 275 Nitto 555RII autocross tires up front and Nitto 555R 315 rears. They are way stickier than stock so keep that in mind. With the S2 pads I have been able to lock them at 70mph and maybe even higher, but I haven't really tested them at higher speeds yet. They are also very easy to modulate once you practice a little.
The only thing I don't like about them is the way the torque ramps up. For instance, when you are going 90mph and hit the brakes hard, the pads grab about like the stocks ones at first. As the speed drops, they start to ramp up in torque. I can feel them getting stronger at about the 75-80mph mark and at 70mph they were really comming on. I wanted to see what they could do, so I kept my foot in it and they activated the ABS at the 70mph mark. No doubt, they are way more powerful than stock.
My only concern is that they need to ramp up to get the strong grip, it's kind of like a delay. On the plus side, it prevents the nose from quickly dropping and possibly upsetting the balance of the car and it is also good for braking late into a corner (trailbraking). Still, I wanted something massively strong when you first hit the brake pedal.
If you use this chart as an example, I would say the S2 pads are like the "C" compound. I'm thinking I might prefer something more like a "J" or "H" which is what I was originally expecting.
I might swap them for some Carbotech Panther Pluses, which are way dirtier and possibly noisier, not to mention cost about $300 a set. The S2's only ran $200 and are already on the car, plus don't dust much and are quiet. So I'm kind of on the fence if I should upgrade.
I'll probably do some more high speed braking and see what they are capable of and then do a little review on these pads as they aren't as well known around here.
Hope that helps.

You are correct, I didn't test them (I never thought about it), so it's "seat of the pants info" only. If anyone wants to bring pads and rotors, we'll break out the meter and test them all.
I can tell you that wilwood 6 pistons with 13" rotors will stop my car in 116 feet (on a chip and tar road) using Hawk HP+ pads (and stock rear pads....and I really don't like those HP+ pads). And, I've not managed to fade them yet (but on the street, I'd not expect that combo to overheat on the street without doing something stupid).
