Default Raked Look

So I was thikning about getting some lowering springs and I was wondering if they make a set that will give me a raked look, Or should I just look into dropping the front 1 inch. I don't want anything too extreme, just a nice rake. TIA

DMS lowering springs will give you the raked look your looking for.

You could just replace the fronts and use the stock rears, they are pretty good. Or just trim a very small amount from the big end of the front coil to drop it just a little. No more than 3/4". Or just add some inexpensive metal spacers to the rear to raise it just a little.

You can basically raise the rear or lower the front to get the raked look. What do you prefer?

I think I'd prefer to drop the front, It already kinda looks like a 4x4 so I'm lookin to get rid of that wheel space in the front. One of my concerns is the TSP True Duals that hang kinda low. I don't think I could do the DMS springs because of that, I already scrape on way more than I should.

Really, the suspension needs to be looked at as a whole. Shock damping, spring rates, ride heights, suspension travel, bumpstops, etc... You may regret just lowering the front a little.

If your mind is made up, you can use a cutoff wheel and remove 1/4 coil from the big end of the front spring. The spring can be compressed on the car enough that you don't need to pull the whole assembly out. That should lower it just a little.

Might there be any downsides to tossing some BMR 1 inch drop springs on the front?

As apposed to just trimming the stock ones? Only spending $200 and having to tear the whole front suspension apart. You might also get too much rake. If you are going to tear everything apart it would be a good time to use better shocks if you are still using the DeCarbons.

What shocks would be good for a setup like that? with just the front lowered? Should I change all 4 at that time? If I don't like the raked look too much or it's too raked, then I'll probably just put the rear springs in later.

Generally, the Bilstein HD is a fine overall shock. Very high quality and rides real smooth while reducing the floaty feeling the car has at speed. Definetly replace the front shocks if you tear everything apart.
The Bilsteins use a softer bumpstop that will increase the front suspension travel as well as smoothout the big bumps. Both are good things compared to the stock bumpstops that are too long and extremly hard.
The rear shocks are can be replaced anytime as they are very easy to swap out.

I have a set of front Bilstein HDs that were on my car for about 500 miles. I went HAL QA1s when I decided my front spring swap was too low to CT. PM me if you're interested, I will let them go pretty cheap.

I would not cut the springs unless you or someone that you know is cutting then and they know what they are doing.
