Decided Shocks...What Else?
I have decided, after reading Sam Strano's posts in my last thread, to go with the Koni SA's. The only other mods I have at this time suspension wise are the BMR STB and SFC's. I am putting in 3:73 gears, will have full boltons, 4200 stall, 19x9.5 wheels, and a pretty sizable heads/cam package. I don't race the car really, nor drag it, but want a good enjoyable riding car. What other recommendations would you all make since I will have the car basically apart?

S1.5 TEA 5.3 heads w/ FAST 90/NW setup w/ 228/230/571/573 cam--a little racing, but won't be at the track on a regular basis. Maybe a few runs to see if I can get in the low to mid 11's and break the 10 bolt

Oops...can't read very well
PHR and LCAs probably wouldn't hurt for traction purposes. Swaybars would make a nice difference in the corners. I don't know that any of them besides shocks will actually improve the ride itself.

I know you use an adjustable phr and relocation brackets when you lower the car via springs--how about shocks like I am doing?
Also, would you recommend adjustable lca's or not if the car isn't planned to be dragged that often if at all? Thanks!

I think I will go w/ Sam Strano's custom setup of 35/21 sway bars, UMI adjustable panhard bar/lca's, BMR bolt in relocation brackets (I want bolt in), and the Koni SA's. Maybe a torque arm. What do you all think?

A phone call would go a long way to deciding on what you want. Much more information than what you can gather by e-mail.....
My bars are 35/22 hollow, not 21. I also have 4 different style of Panhard bars which can be shipped with a set of, or individual swaybars too. I'm not a believer in mixing and matching ends. If you want bushings, run bushings. If you want rod-ends, run rod-ends. The setup is only as good as it's weakest link....
I don't believe that LCA brackets are necessary (I don't have them), but if you do want them they are readily available as well....
Torque arm is also not what I'd term necessary. But you might want one. You need to start with the shocks and bars first. They will make the biggest handling differences of all. Spring certainly help, and it makes sense to do those with the shock install. And when you lower, a PHB is something you want to have in order to re-center your axle.
In short, the springs, shocks, bars, and PHB are more on top of the list than are LCA brackets and a torque arm IMHO.
