Default Is a Torque Arm Really Needed for Low HP Cars?

My car is lowered and I'm going to be putting is a converter shortly (SY3500). I'm only going to be in the 320 to 330 whp range and I'm wondering if an adjustable torque arms would be beneficial or if I'm better off saving my money. When the converter goes in, I'm going to be putting in LCA w/relocation brackets, adjustable panhard rod and subframe connectors.

Thanks!

My car wheel hops stock, and aftermarket torque arms are supposed to help cure it.

if youre that cheap
install converter first
add mods one by one until you get traction again.

ask these guys!

when i had a 3400/2.0
i got away with only getting a poly trans mount ($25!)

now that i have a 4000/2.6

Stick to your plan and do the torque arm last. The relocation brackets should kill any wheel hop. It seems the factory torque arm can take a good amount of abuse. Mine is still hanging in there but it does look slightly bent at the rear end housing.

your tq arm should have come with instructions on how to do it along with a magnetic angle finder. if not, call spohn and they can fhook you up with the instructions.
