Default squeaky suspension

my 02 SS has recently started squeaking over bumps or when it goes over a piece of road that is crooked. i just recently hit the 55 thousand mark on my odometer and ive heard that your shocks should be changed at 50 thou. could my shocks be the reason my suspension is driving me fu**ing crazy or could it be something else? has ne one else had this problem b4?????

my car sounds like crickets. the noise is coming from the rear on both sides in the coil spring area. the noise only starts after i've driven a few miles, so i'm thinking it may be the shocks after they get warmed up a little. or maybe there really are crickets under there and it they wake up after a few miles.

I have that on my '02 only on the driver's side rear and only when I back over one raised spot on my driveway. It sounds like my spring making the noise to me.

Do the easy stuff first; start with lubing inside
the sway bar bushings and end links.

Sorry for the short post earlier, I was running out of time and had to get to class. Your case sounds exactly like what my car is doing... stock shocks at 70k miles. I know my shocks are dead and I'm simply going to replace them with Koni SA's. AFAIK, you'll just have to replace them as the stock deCarbons can't be rebuilt. However, I would suggest starting with jimmy's suggestion with lubing the bushings and seeing if that helps.

Get a can of chassis lube and get under there. Lube your ball joints, A-arm bushings, endlinks, PHR and LCA bushings. This may not solve the squeaking if you've neglected the points and they're worn. I lube every 10,000 or so, I've never had anything close to a squeak (just a rattle from a loose LCA-- must have got lube on a bolt or two).
