Default G2 Super Springs:

I'd like to know your opinions on them. I'm considering buying a set to mate with my HD's.

-I really like the stance they give. (Low with a slight rake)
-I hear they are very good in the performance/handling department.

If you have these springs, or know about them, please post your opinions, concerns, criticisms and any other info you can.

To really work well,,, they should have a bit more shock than the HDs. G2s have a good bit of spring rate, more than most spring and the HDs were originally valved to work with stock springs.

They are lower in the back than a set of Pro-kit that have 40,000 miles on them. I havent installed the fronts yet. Later John

I've had G2s and Pro Kit springs, couldn't tell a difference in ride quality or ride height, or in handling. The car sat, cornered, and rod the same with both. I was using Bilstein HDs with both sets of springs.

Here is a link to a website that has the spring rate specs of both the ProKit and the G2 springs. Big difference between them.

The G2's are nearly double the stock springs; HD's won't be optimal if they have been made to work with stock. IMHO.

I had the G2 springs with the HD's for a while. I did have problems with not having enough suspension travel in the rear. This resulted in the axle hitting the bump stops often and hard, over less than perfect roads. To correct this, I installed the stock SS springs in the rear and cut between 1.5 to 1.75 coils off each spring. I did not notice a significant change in the handling, but I hardly ever hit the bump stops vs. every day. The springs are awsome, I would definately recommend them. Just depends on the road conditions where you live. Keep your stock rear springs just in case.

I installed mine yesterday. The car sits level as far as I can see. It dropped about an inch in the front and I forgot to measure the back so I can't say. No insurance on the car so I can't say anything about handling. I just used my stock shocks but I've heard good things abou the G2's and the HD's.

I installed the rears today, sits maybe 1/4" higher than the Eibach's with 30k on them. I'm sure they will settle in. No handling notes yet, need to install the new motor first!

I put them on my '01 with Koni SA's. They are great...for a car you race. I've had them on for a couple of autocross events, and they work very well. The car stays flat, and turns in great. I haven't found the best setting on the Koni for them yet, but 5.5 sweeps up front seems to be working well.

On the practical side of things, my car is a daily driver...they suck for daily driving. It's low, so it scrapes everywhere (speed bumps are my enemy). They are stiff (duh), so any minor bump is magnified ten fold. It's a trade-off to have a well-handling vehicle that you have to drive everyday, but it hasn't gotten to me too much

Also, I don't notice any "rake" that you speak of. My car is fuggin' low, front and rear...but it won't sag like the Eibachs will.

Well I dont know if Lg Changed the springs around a bit on this last batch. But I measured the height of the Pro-kit and then 15 min later mesured the Lg and the rear ride height was the same. 26.5. I put a bunch miles(1600) and the car is laid up for a H/C job. So I havent been able to remeasure the car. But I did have trouble putting the lift arms in the rear so I know the car sits Lower. I assumed the Pro-kit ones would of sagged and the Lg would of had a higher rear height than what I took off. I guess it didnt work that way. Later John

Anyone know if LG has any of these in stock? I know that a bunch of guys were waiting months for them to come in. Anyone know if they have any other than those that ordered months ago?

Your best bet is to give them a call.
