Default LCA's: spherical rod end or poly bushing?

I see UMI's products advertise the teflon-lined rod end as being superior, and still have the poly bushing on the chassis mount. I've heard plenty of stories of poly bushings squeaking, too.

So are these rod ends the way to go?

Thanks.

I have rod ends on my LCA's and PHB and have had no problems with them. As long as its a quality rod end, it should be quiet for a long while.

preferably QA1 rod ends. I think UMI parts use them as well.

Rod ends all the way. One thing that might help them last longer are dustboots like LG includes with his stuff.

There are always going to be people who prefer the poly bushings isntead of the rod ended. If you get the QA1 XM series heim joints, you won't have a problem. They're teflon-lined and I'm sure that's what UMI is using right now.

It's true, poly bushings can squeak too, especially when the bushings are tightened without the suspension being loaded. FWIW, I perfer rod ended parts and I wouldn't have it any other way.
