Default Question on LCA brackets

i have a 2000 ws6 stock height, with sphon LCA with relocation brackets. currently, they're bolted in the middle hole of the three on the brackets. now my question: will i benefit anymore by bolting the LCA on the bottom hole to achieve better traction at the track or will it do nothing or hurt performance?

I tried mine in the bottom position at both stock height and lowered and found I got better traction in both situation than with out the LCA relocation brackets.

He think he meant without the lowering springs.

I did this also. Bottom hole on stock height, huge difference. Even at WOT on broken surfaces I would just haul ***.

The lower you get the front of the LCA's the more anti-squat you have. Traction will have to be best on the lowest setting...Physics.

oh alright, thanks for clearing that up for me.

will it be safe to daily drive it with the LCA on the bottom hole? any downsides to doing that? i would hate to always have to adjust that everytime i race or what not. thanks

I don't see any downside unless you happen to drive your car off-road or run over sizeable debris. Your LCA brackets are already hanging down, have they ever hit? Your LCA's won't hang any lower.
Picture those leaf-spring 1st gen F-bodies many of which have slapper bars. Those are quite low, yet don't seem to have problems.

Remember, lowering your car doesn't have an affect on the height of your LCA brackets. Since they're attached to the axle.

No downsides as far as I'm concerned. GM probably didn't want it this way because of automated car washes or something. That might be a downside if you are in the habit of using those car washes. But I would have thought the brackets themselves would be the problem if the LCAs would be.

I've heard middle hole for track and full slicks and bottom hole for street tires on the street. My hooks and drives great in the bottom holes. Couldn't pay me to change them...
