Trackbird. What is the net effect of having the brake bias moved forward?
Well....worst case, you move the bias all the way forward (extreme example) and all the braking is done by the front rotors. This could be more heat than they are capable of handling. However, we're only shifting it by a matter of degrees and the LS1 cars are generally "rear biased" anyway. So, in the grand scheme of things, it is probably not going to make much difference at all. It's something to be aware of and if you have problems, you might trace it back to that shift, but I'd not panic over it (though GM did feel it was important enough to engineer different piston sizes for the different cars and rotor diameters).
I prefer the C5 rotor with the C5 caliper, but the bias shift from running the F-body caliper (with the kits that allow it) may not be the end of the world. A quick pad swap (to a slightly more aggressive rear pad) would probably balance it back out if needed.
