it's eith ewr "TCS" (traction control system), or like mine "ASR" (anti-slip rearend). mine is located above the radio on the left side. press it, and like cabesas said, a ligt will come on in your gauge cluster sayin either "TCS Off" or "ASR Off"

so, if mine didnt come with the switch, then all i need to do is buy that TCS module that SLP is selling, and then i will be able to turn it on and off? the wiring and everything is still there?

i dont think so that module u see is for the people who actually have it so that its automaticly off when u start the car.. cause when u have TC it comes on and people when they race sometimes forget to turn and off and such so that module helps with that...and there is a lot more than just a module to put in traction control.

Not trying to be picky but I'm pretty sure ASR stands for "Anti Slip Regulation"

So if a car doesnt have a tcs switch or asr, is it always like having the tcs or asr on or off?

TCS=Traction Control System (Pontiac)
ASR=Acceleration Slip Regulation (Chevrolet trying to be different)

They're both identical systems. On the 2002 Z28 there will be a switch to the right of the fog lamp switch next to the little plaque above your radio that says "35th Anniversary" on it. The switch will look exactly like the fog lamp switch but it will say "ASR" and have an amber light that is always on when the car is on. If you press the switch a indicator will come on the dash indicating that the system is off. The light on the switch will also go out. If you don't see a switch rev the engine and drop the clutch. If you smoke 'em up, you don't have it. If the engine stalls, you do have it.

No switch = No ASR = Smokey Burnouts
Switch = ASR = Smokey Burnouts with an annoying yellow indicator in the cluster, but only after you shut the system off (it defaults on every time you start the car)

Thanks, might be getting one soon and I dont think it has ASR so that puts my mind to rest....hate having restrictions like that with no control.

I don't mind having it, except when I want to drive sideways and I forget it's on. You just have to hit the switch and turn it off. Or, you can get the logic module mentioned and it will reverse the ASR to make it default "off" everytime you start the car instead of "on". Because no one wants to stall at the starting line, especially when people are watching.

Yeah I know you can turn it off, how I meant for it to come out is that if the car didnt have the switch, but still had that option...so in another words u didnt have the option to turn it off...thats where I wouldnt like it. But I guess that isnt the case so I dont have to worry.
