Default KB Double Diamond SFC users inside please. . . .

when i bought my car it came with these SFC. . . Is it just my car, or everyone elses too; but it feels like $hit inside, I feel every bump that my car goes over. . . I have installed new shocks/struts, LCA, Motor mounts, etc. . . and it still feels like **** inside. . . My car is lowered but thats the way it came from SLP. .. I guess what i'm trying to ask: When you put the KB DD SFC, did you notice that the ride was rougher . . .etc???

Zero body flex will make for a solid ride... Are you sure the springs are the ones from the factory (SLP)? It sounds like you have a high rate spring.

What springs, shocks/struts, LCA's, motor mounts etc.. have you put in there. Every piece you cange on the susp will make a difference. I have Eibach springs, Bilstein HD's and I don't find the ride too rough. All the KBDD's did for me was take away some body flex, they didn't change the way the car went over bumbs much.

So you installed KYB's as a replacement? If so did the problem remain exactly the same? The reason I ask, is I have had not so good experience with KYB's. I don't think they're terrible, however shock engineering makes a large difference in dampening (wasn't so obvious until I changed shocks several times).

It's probably in your shocks that's causing most of the discomfort. I would assess that the subframes connectors would have less to do with your discomfort, since you mention the discomfort is when you have to overcome road bumps. Also, the shock valving probably doesn't match the spring rate to achieve the optimal performance, so that might add to some of the discomfort.

Maybe a shock expert such as Sam Strano could chime in on this one.

Well to be honest, the KYB's suck. They are harsh and will do nothing but make your car ride like a shopping cart. If you care more about ride comfort then I'd look at a set of stock replacement shocks/struts like the standard Bilstein. Keep in mind that any of the lowering springs out there(yours included) will be rougher than a stock sprung car. However which springs and more importantly which shocks will make a big difference. If you want a real professional answer call Sam Jr. at Strano Parts, but this is my opinion.
