Best suspension mods for 1/4 mile gains?
I'm wondering which suspension mods will net me the best quarter mile gains. I do enjoy the car handling better around turns and such, but I'll enjoy a lot more a couple tenth's off my quarter mile time. For example, I'll be taking my front sway bar off when I go to the quarter mile track. Less handling, but better 1/4 times.
What are the best suspension & chassis mods to do for this purpose? Right now I have subframe connectors and lower control arms waiting in the garage to put in. I was looking at a panhard rod and lower control arm relocation brackets, but noticed that those were both primarily used for cars that were lowered. I did read, though, that people have reportd LCA relocation brackets to be good for .1 in the quarter mile, which would be great. Is there truth to this? Will the PHR help at all either?
Other suspension pieces I'm not sure about for the quarter mile: torque arm, a-arms, springs, shocks, anything else?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
P.S. The car has run a best of 12.5, and I've been having traction issues with the 10 bolt(6 speed). I'll be going to a 12 bolt as soon as possible, and want to get the suspension pieces in to support it beforehand, so that it's all good to go once the 12 bolt is in.

Everything that you have and have been looking at will help in planting the rear end. Make sure the 12 bolt is compatible with what you have or are buying. The strange is basically plug and play. Some DR's would really help you out though. I need to get me some.

I have BFG DR's right now. Don't use them much because I know I'll break the rear with over 400rwhp.
Joblo, could you name any one part that would give me the best quarter mile gain for right now? I'm thinking the LCA relocation brackets.

Whelp, I never really "tested" my suspension mods on the track for a comparison with and without each part. LCA brackets really help rid wheel hop. The LCA's I installed today really help with traction alot too. A buddy of mine dropped .5 off his quarter from first time to the track without, to second time with these two mods. SFC's are nice but I don't know if they improve quarter mile times for a fact. I can't believe you don't have them already with that kind of power though. I'm still on the stock torque arm for right now but friends have told me that they noticed more traction also.
Try the LCA's and brackets, you WILL notice a difference. Almost like it's a different car.

i can relate to his 60's. in my old 96 z with a 3500, tea heads and a real small cam (literally), i was pulling 1.55-1.60fts consistently with 12.4 1/4 mile passes at 108-109mph. one thing about it though, the 10 bolt didn't like it after about a month the those low 60's!!!!
