C5 brakes to 98+ f-body: direct bolt on?
Are the Corvette C5 brakes (rotors & calipers) a direct bolt onto an LS1 f-body? Just wondering because the new C6 Z06 6 caliper 14" front & 4 caliper 13" rear brakes bolt directly onto a C5 with no modification at all. So if the C5 stock brakes fit an LS1 f-body, then I think it'd be pretty safe to assume the C6 Z06 brakes will swap onto an f-body with no modifications

I wonder if the C6 Z06 setup is still a floating caliper since it's a 6-piston front/4-piston rear design??.... with pistons on each side of the rotor, it could be a fixed caliper setup. The regular C5 Z06 was only 2-piston front/4-piston back, and all pistons on the same side, right?

I thought about that some and I came up with the solution... I'm going to carry a few bricks and a board to keep the car from rolling
I bet those brakes would look good on an Fbody

The C5 uses larger bolts than the F-body. So, (assuming the C6 parts are a direct bolt on for C5 stuff) you'd want a C5 conversion that is designed for the C5 PAB and not the F-body version (the F-body version will have holes that are too small). Just something to consider.
