Hotchkis or Kenny Brown
I'm looking to getting some SFC. I to keep my car as solid as possible. I won't do much racing, only about once per month, and I don't want ground clearence to be affected. I'm considering getting Kenny Brown's, but are theese overkill, or are hotchkis enough. Are there other companies I should consider?

I feel that most double diamonds are either overpriced, or overkill. as far as KBDD goes, I had them when I went road racing, and they didn't make a difference, not even SOTP. I feel that if you will do some serious drag racing, then you should definitely consider a thicker box type subframe. I hear that UMI has some decent ones for the money and they pay great attention to detail. The SLP ones are decent as well.
I hope someone else can chime in.

i havent installed my UMIs yet but they are the largest boxed ones available (actually the same size as BMR) and UMI is already on my A+ list for their quality and customer service so i decided to go with UMI. not only that but their prices are gangster. cant wait to try their other stuff... one vote UMI!

Thanks. Over at f-body.com there's a huge support for Kenny Browns. Are 2 point subframes enough for everyday driving with an occasional street race ordrag race at the strip. Or are 3 point the only way to go?

If you must have subframe connectors, then get a 2 point if you have a torque arm is mounted to the transmission (stock or aftermarket). Get a 3 point if you have an aftermarket torque arm that attaches to the floorpan.

I'm planning on getting an Edelbrock adjustable torque arm due to it being very similar to the hotchkis one and cheaper. Does this one connect to the trands or floorpan? Also is an adjustable necessary, will it hard to adjust? Price doesn't botter me, I mean it's only a couple bucks more if I remember right.

I know that Edelbrock makes a torque arm, however does hotchkis make one for the F-body? I personally don't know a whole lot about those brands other than the fact that a lot of people know they exist, however a sponsor by the name of UMI performance will have several options available, and he might currently have some sort of group purchase or discount available. Their parts are quite high quality as well.
