You pressures are too low if you are only leaving lines with the edges of the tires. The whole contact patch isn't on the ground so all the other mods in the world won't help if you are automatically traction limited that way.

Do you drive all of the time on the Nitto DRs? If so, what pressures do you run on the street?? Anything over 26-28 psi will kill the centers of these things over any distance. This could be why you just get those "outside patch" marks on the pavement. I drove around on these things for about 20K+ and I'll tell you, they heat cycle and harden to the point of uselessness (especially below 50 degrees F). This could be what's causing your hellacious wheel hop.

This is why you're killing the centers. You have to decide whether the tires (+ mounting/balance) are less/more $$ than the small gain in gas mileage over the shortened lifespan your Nittos will see at that pressure.

What kind of rear shocks and spings are you running? I spent some pretty good $$$ on upgrading all of my suspension and was still getting wheel hop. Only thing I had left to replace were the stock shocks and springs. Turns out that my shocks were completely shot and that was the reason for my wheel hop and crappy handling.

The pinion angle should be no more that 3° down on a street driven car from the angle of transmission yoke, anymore angle and you may get a nasty vibration while under normal driving conditions. A pinion angle that is pointed up will cause a wheel hop condition. By the way a pinion point up is a positive angle and down is a negative, this is in relation to the transmission yoke angle and has nothing to do with the ground.
