Default suspension setup okay going with 18" rims

i have 35mm and 22mm sway bars, hotchkis springs and Koni SA. Will 18" rims be okay for the handling or is it going to hurt the performance?

18" rims hurt handling on a fbody. I found out the hard way after I bought some. It's not really the wheel itself, but the tires you put on such a wheel have a very short sidewall. The sidewall is part of the rear suspension in a live axle car such as a fbody, so you lose tire grip with 18's. They could work on the front end, though, if you don't mind not being able to rotate.

The best size rim for racing is 16", but there aren't many wide street tires available for 16 inch rims. If you are on non-DOT race rubber, 16x12's are the hot ticket.

For the street, 17x11 ZR1 knock offs or CCW's perform best, with 315/35-17 tires. If you could get 335's that aren't so tall, that would be a good size on 17x12 rims.
