Default BMR or Hotchkis springs?

Which spring would be better suited to drop my car about an 1"-1.25" and be better for handeling. I am not sure what the spring rates are on these but i think I want some where around 500/150. I plan on getting Koni SA's at all 4 corners regaurdless of the springs. If there is a better choice let me know what you guys think. I also am considering DMS springs because I like the racked look that a lot of people get with these. I think they lower 1.3" in the front and 1" in the rear, but I am not sure on spring rates for these either.

I have the Hotchkis and the konis on all 4 corners. I love it. Set the shocks in the rear full soft for the street and 1/2 way for the road course. I leave the front shocks at 1/2 all the time. I was thinking about the BMR springs also but after speaking to Sam Stranos he recommended the Hotchkis so I went that way and never regretted it. I also used the Stranos hollow front and rear antisway bars, the chrome moly phb with rod ends and an edlebrock torque arm. I run at local road course and it handles great. Good luck to you and I hope this helps.

I know the spring rates for both, and the working range of the Hotchkis springs are very similar to the rates you are looking for (500/150 FWIW is what used to win my 2nd Nationals in 2004). That's one reason we use a fair bit of Hotchkis springs, because of the not slammed effect and the spring rates gotten.

We will use others as well from time to time given circumstances, but the Hotchkis get used as much as anything around here, and work great with Koni's. Actually Koni's can even make not-so-good springs look pretty good, but better to start off with something most appropriate.

BTW, Koni SA's and Hotchkis springs run between $1039 and $1134 (depending on which Koni rear shock you use, the harder to adjust but less costly 3rd gen, or the more expensive but easier/quicker to adjust and more fine-tuneable 4th gen's). The latter is the best option, cost being no object. The former is a cost effect way to get the damping level you need and some useful adjustment, just not as much of it.

Thanks guys this is exactly the kind of advice I was looking for. You guys really know your stuff. Sam I will be giving you a call shortly to order the koni/hotchkis combo and will also be ordering your sway bars later down the line. If anyone has any pics of their car with the hotchkis springs I would appreciate if you could post them. I have already seen the car in the sticky but I would like to see more pics. Thanks

You can still get a slightly raked look with the Hotchkis and get a better spring rate than the DMS springs. Having those badass Konis are the key ingredient for making that suspension supreme.

I'm also trying to get this look for my car, but when I google 'dms springs' I get two companies; Drummond Motorsports and Dynamic Motorsports, and they both sell lowering springs. Which one is the company that produces the springs I'm looking for?

I really like the stance of your car BAD BLU. How many different sets of rims do you have or are those pics of other formulas as well.
If anyone else has pics of their ride lowered with Hotchkis springs please post up. Thanks a lot.
