I know with my Brother's GTP when he turns it off and guns it it will automatically come back on, was just wondering if it's the same setup for Trans Ams?
No, off is truly off (thank god for that). It does not come back on like the GTP cars.

I do turn it off, I just wish my car was 12 lbs lighter and $450 cheaper (meaning, I wish I'd not found the last 6 speed car in town in 2002 and it had it on there).

Ha ha that's exactly what happened to me, except in 2001. While you can turn it off, it doesn't stay off. The next time you start the car, damn thing is back on. And since I turn off my motor between AutoX runs, it makes for an embarassing launch on the next run!

Traction control won't make up for not knowing how to handle a rear-wheel drive car. That's what FWD's are for.

Get the SLP module. I put that in my car with under 1000 miles on it and I've not had the TCS on since.

Well I already removed the TCS from my car, so the SLP module is no longer needed. For a while I thought about designing and building my own module of this type; it wouldn't be that hard to do.

Even with TCS, you can still spin the **** out of the tires in the rain. I really don't see what it does. I do know that having it on at the track will up your E.T. by a second or more though.

But if its just a weekender car in say texas or florida then I would go out of my way to get a car without traction control
I live in CO and have a 400hp car w/o traction control and personally I did fine w/o it, my moms honda pilot spins out more on ice than the ws6 i think the reason is cause on ice you want your tires to keep spinning and when the car applies the brakes in TCS it stops them from spinning which actually can cause you to spin more. Of course it also has alot to do with how well you drive.
