Default Stainless Steel Brake Lines.

YES I DID SEARCH! Came up empty handed. What is the better of the brake lines. I remember reading the earls leaked at the banjo fitting and there was a better one that no one had had problems with. Whats the name and were do you get them.

That's news to me. I've been running my earl's for um about 6 years, no leak once I was able to torque to spec...

The issue I had was being at a buddies house without the spec. Once received, no problem...

I installed a Goodridge set. The set included new retaining clips, that are much easier to use than the stock ones, and new caliper bolts. Overall nice set that was easy to install.

Earl's kit has been working fine on my car after a year of autoX racing.

But with a name like Earl, how could they go wrong?

Oh, and btw, I've been road tracking my car for that whole time, FWIW.

If I'm not mistaken, pretty much your only choices are Goodridge and Earls. At least those are the only ones I normally see.

That KaleCoauto O Pipe looks like just the thing for getting big cams to pass emissions. Awesome website!

Why are Stainless Steel good brake lines? Do they fade less than the cheapie stock rubber hoses?

Rubber hoses expand with the high pressures of hard braking - giving you less braking effort. SS hoses do not expand ,therefore you get the full benefit of all your braking pressure.

Personally I believe what people feel from upgrading to stainless brake lines is the benefit of freshly bled brakes; not the difference in the lines. I have had very good luck abusing brakes with the stock lines.
