scraping sound when braking?
when i brake i sometimes hear a scraping/rubbing sound.
im pretty sure its only coming from the rear, but is it the rotors? pads? something else?

My recommendation, since you're in TX, is to take your rear wheel off and visually check what's going on back there. I would guess you no longer have any pad material and are grinding metal on metal but you have to check...

well..assuming you checked your brake pads and made sure you have meat on them, check the rotors and see if they have a glaze/glossy/mirror image to them. if they do they'll need to be resurfaced or replaced depending on thickness. if your pads are around 2-4/32nds than you should replace those along with the rotors or resurfacing them. the sound you hear is usually a characteristic of what the pads are made of..its nothing serious, just a annoying. hope this helps.
