** This is not LS1 related.. but i thought i'd share anyway, its good for a laugh**

So the cavalier was due for some new brakes and i finally found some time and the weather was decent. Went to advance autoparts got new pads and rotors... Well today made me realize how nice it is to have a cavalier.

Rotors $13 each
Pads $30

Well i knew they were bad.... just how bad amazed me!!





Oh and did i mention i love PB Blaster... lol!! After the bolts broke loose the job only took a few mins. It was a fun sunday afternoon project.. i just thought i'd share my wonderful discovery.

 

Could that also qualify for the ugliest brakes award as well?

 

well they came off an ugly car.. so that is an unfair advantage... lol

I think the new brakes may actaully stop better... but then again there's my human perception.. its probably just a placebo effect..

 

well...

in all fairness I can only call the brakes ugly cuz that's what I see from the posted pics. AFA the car being ugly, I might eventually have you beat in that category. Many say that the Ultima GTR is one ugly beast, but it sure make a lotta pretty numbers.

 

Well here it is... pretty much a chic magnet..

When i get on it, there are 120 horses loose under my hood!!

lol, well on a more serious note, its not a bad daily driver.. super cheap.
(makes me cherish driving the SS even more, though..)
