Hey,
I have searched for this in the search bar but nothing i want has come up, but I have heard that some f-bodies have traction control.
I have a 2001 Camaro z/28 a4. How do I find out if I have traction Control or not? If I do have it, will i need a controler to turn it on and off? Will my my 1/4 mile times be alot worse if i have it on?

I don't know about the 2001 A4 cars, but my '99 M6 has it. It's a toggle above the radio that says ASR. Mine is always on automatically, but one click and it's off till I turn it back on or restart the car.

If you have traction control there will be a switch right next to the fog light switch, and RPO code NW9 on the drivers side door. It was an option and mine doesn't have it - just has a "blank" where the switch would be.

Yeah mine has a blank where the switch would be, but when i took the panel with the fog light switch off their was wires connecting to the fog lights and the blank switch next to it.

I have mashed it down when im going like 30 and their was minimul spin if any.
I test drove another one a few months ago and mashed it at 30 and it spun alot.
It just kinda weird how their is wires going to that blank switch, for some reason i think i have it. And their is a traction off button that lights up when i first start the car, like when all the things light up on the dash.

it lights up because all dashes had it. If you don't have an ASR button, you don't have it. Your car probably won't spin the tires at 30 mph if it's a stock a4.
In my car when it's on and I spin the tires, the car forces the gas pedal back up into my foot. It's pretty unmistakeable.

All cars came with the tcs switch wiring. Pop your hood and look. If you have traction control, you'll have a black tcs module right above the battery and you'll have one throttle cable going to your throttle body. If you don't have traction control, you obviously won't have the tcs module by the battery, and you'll have two cables going to your throttle body.....one being throttle and the other being cruise control.

If you have traction control on and pop the clutch, the tires will bark and then the pedal will come back not letting you mash gas anymore. Also the "low traction" light will illuminate momentarily.

Just do this, powerbrake your car; if it keeps spinning and revvvs higher, you do not have TCS. if it bogs down immediately, and you feel your gas pedal pushing back on your foot, you do have it.
