Default for those familar with rod ends

i have double rod end lca's and panhard bar. it semms like most the noise associated with these parts comes from twisting motion.(the rod end twisting and stopping on the bushing sleeve they mount with). my ? is could we put a thin, tall nylon washer on both sides of the rod end to help deaden the metal to metal tap sound? or a rubber sleeve over the bushing collar that would be hit first and soften the blow?

LGM sells dust seals for their rod ends. It also acts as you desire ... a cushion the keep that twisting clank sound to a minimum.

And that twist clank was a reason why I decided on the poly/rod end LCAs.A stationary end will prevent that twisting you describe.

Do you have any pics or a write-up of this?

For information purposes, the Howe rubber bushing has a larger inner sleeve that needs to be modified so the standard size LCA bolts can be used. The end result will yield a higher overall durometer for the bushings, since less rubber is present, and more metal is. FWIW, I personally haven't had any passengers complain so far with the modified rubber bushing and rear rod ends with dust seals. This is on my street vehicle.

Just want to disclaim that it's not my write-up and end user assumes all liabilities and responsibilities.
