Default G2 Super Springs + ZR1 offset 315's?

Does anyone know if this will work out? My rear fender lips are already rolled in but I saw some pics that made the G2's look quite low in the rear.

I'm understanding the G2's very stiff out back so will it be ok with Bilstein HD's?

Any pics?

TIA

I am currently running that combo with F1 DS G3 tires. No issues there.

If I had to do it over I would get Koni SA for the front and revalved Bilsteins for the rear from Strano Performance. The HDs were a bit too soft for my taste.

hmm looks like I'll probably be ok. Especially since I looked at my current situation closely (cut stock springs/shocks) and I'm a little lower than I though. Since the G2/bilstein combo will be stiffer (right?) I shouldn't bottom out any more than I am now. ...right?
Thanks for the responses

IMHO you should run Koni sa's with the G2 super springs.

The Bilstein HDs were really designed for use with stock springs. I've run the setup and dont recommend them with G2s.

Yes and no (hate answering like that, but the details will follow). Even with the "correct" lowering combination, you still run the risk of bottoming out the body to the ground and on top of the wheels, since you're lowering the body to the ground, and even if none of those problems I mentioned were present, you still run the risk of bottoming out on the bumpstops since you will be using enhanced replacement shocks with OE spec lengths. In short, since you're lowering the ride height over an otherwise unchanged shock body height, the shock piston rod is remaining lower towards the top of the shock body top. Therefore, even with some good valving, you have decreased your piston rod's overall length at rest, so if you were to inadvertantly hit a bump that the suspension somehow can't dampen enough, you hit the bumpstop.

With that said, I see no problem with getting G2 springs, just be aware that if you are to get a high performance spring like those, be prepared that you'll need shocks that are up to the task. IMHO, regular Bilstein HD's are absolutely out of the question, since even Bilstein themselves are adamantly against using anything but OE spec springs. Bilstein revavles are okay, but last I checked with Bilstein, there are warranty issues when a revalve is done. Koni SA's will be another alternative but the price may push you to the brink of your budget.

hmm... looks like I'm back to square one! lol
Thanks a lot for the responses. I was going to go ahead with the Bilsteins because on the LG website, Lou says he liked the combo but I guess that's just advertising.
Hmmm what to do...

These photos are with Gs springs, Koni SA, and 17x11 Grandsport (+50mm) wheels

Both cars in this photo have GS offset wheels.

Are those 17x11 on all 4 corners? What tires are those?
Thanks for posting the pics that helps a lot.

The car should ride at the same height with Bilsteins right? I know the Koni's are supposed to be "insanely awesome" but on my budget, I'll be everjoyed with "really good"

Yes, 17x11's all around, 315/35/17's all around, and they are Kumho V700 Victoracers. Not a good street tire, but very good autoX or RR tire.

If you are planning to run 11's out back and 9 or 9.5's up front, I would suggest running a larger rear bar like the 22mm Strano, or maybe even the big Hotchkis or a thurdgen 24mm.

Yea, I was hoping for 1.75" but when I got the car back on the ground last night, it was closer to 2". They're kinda on the low side for my taste, but not too bad, and TD's are now out of the question.

I had true duals on mine, even had SLP headers. Just had to keep an eye out for speed bumps. Even more so with slicks and skinnies....
